Pantone announced its 2018 color of the year this past fall and as we begin the new year we can use the color of the year to inspire our goals. The color of the year is called PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet. It is a blue-based purple, which means more than just a pretty color. It is meant to inspire creativity and provide a calming energy. Color, like music and the sense of smell, has the ability to evoke emotions and memories. As much as I love this color, I’m not brave enough to paint a wall in my house with it. But, this color doesn’t necessarily have to be used solely on the walls. It can be incorporated throughout your house with decor items if you choose to do so. I’ve searched through Joss and Main to find some decor items inspired by the 2018 Pantone Color of the Year. I chose Joss and Main because I find their search engine and filters are easy to navigate and you can create an idea board for any project. The items shown below are from all different design styles.
